Welcome
Welcome to the family tree! Currently, the information in the database goes back to
Dr. Adolph Berchelmann, who was born in 1885 somewhere in Mexico.
It is my intention is to take the tree as far back as possible, but it will take time. I am unveiling this as
a "work in progress" so that people can see what I am doing with all this information.

The family tree is not displayed in a traditional tree format. The tree is displayed one
person at a time. Each page displays the selected person's name at the top of the page. All of that
person's relatives are listed along the left side of the page. The rest of the page
displays personal information about the selected person.
The listed relatives that are part of the blood line will be hyper-linked. Clicking on
these links will display that person's page. Navigating up the tree can be accomplished
by clicking parent after parent until the top of the tree is reached.
You can find people by using the search tool--click the "search" button at
the top of the page. You can also find people by navigating from person to person until you
reach the person you are interested in.
Because my tree page is the only "complete" page, you will start there when you click
the tree image on the right. I am hoping that it will serve as a good example of what I am trying to do.
I am hoping that it will inspire you to contribute similar information about yourself. If you
prefer to start with someone else, click the "search" button to find a specific person.
I Need Your Help
There is a lot of data that still needs to be collected. I have gathered a lot of the information,
but most of what I have is just relationships--names, and how they relate to each other. It is an
expansive project, but I am confident that we can put this together if everyone chips in.
What
I am desperately needing is for everyone to write their own personal page (see my page for an example by clicking
here or by clicking the tree image). I also need people to check information
that pertains to them to ensure its correctness. The tree will be much more interesting if it is accurate and
people contribute their own personal information. I am also depending on people to provide personal information
for people who are no longer with us.
Submitting information is as easy as clicking the "submit info" button above. The information
you submit will be added to the database once it has been processed and formatted for the web.
If you provide an email address when submitting, you will be notified when the information has
been added.
